Orchard path—stop, look low;
“Last seen here,” said Kaydence so.
Alice found one berry thread;
“Clue one points ahead,” she said.
Pond edge—scan the soft damp ground;
One small mitten-print was found.
Button clouds went sailing through;
“Clue two points toward the oak.”
Old oak branch—what do we see?
One bent leaf—clue number three.
Underneath, they looked with pride:
One berry-red mitten lay beside.
Blackberry Lane in make-believe play
Twinkled like a clue-map way.
