Golden Pencil Chant
Flower fence—shuffle, then see;
One blunt play pencil marked faintly.
Kaydence said, “The line is light.”
Aralynn said, “Turn the paper once.”
Reading stump—pause and try;
Kaydence turned the paper once.
Kaydence drew one more soft line;
Both faint marks stayed light and fine.
“Ask a grown-up,” Aralynn said.
