The route to ribbon meadow had to wait;
the deck made three new sound jobs at the gate.
Aleea tapped the wooden step: tuk-tuk.
Sprinkle beads replied: plip-plip on the book-box roof.
Emmitt brushed a metal latch: ting-ting.
The nearly motionless air kept each small ring.
Callen found a cloth return-bag: whuff-whuff.
“Wood, metal, cloth—three sounds are quite enough.”

They placed the bag and deck along one side,
leaving a tiny open nook nearby.
The five-minute sprinkle finished with a tap.
