All morning, stump-school yard held the scene.
One deck window framed a bridge alcove green.
Brandon Rabbit called, “A crossing starts there.”
Austin Turtle answered, “I see roots in the air.”

“What do you see?” “Not what I see.”
Alice Mole said, “Both clues could be.”
Aleea turned the window, changing the view:
first name it, next compare it, then test what is true.

Brandon saw a broad way, quick and bright.
Austin saw a narrow edge that needed more sight.
“Take the broad way,” came the first idea;
“Keep it,” said Aleea, “but test from right here.”

The rejected plan became their safety check:
Alice laid one leaf beside the windowed deck.
If the leaf stayed whole in the framed-out space,
the route left enough room at a careful pace.

The bridge-alcove view had shown one clue,
but the leaf bent where the narrow edge came through.
They did not enter; they changed where to go,
through moonflower wall where four pale shapes could show.

“What do you hold?” “Not what you hold.”
Brandon held a curve; Austin held a fold.
Alice held two dots; Aleea held a line.
Separate, each part looked like an unfinished sign.

The five-minute sprinkle darkened every part.
Barely moving air kept the four hands smart.
They lifted their pieces at one shared height;
curve, fold, dots, and line joined right.

Only while all four held steady and near
could one plant-shaped message appear.
Evidence shaped it; imagination made it start:
one readable picture held in every part.
