Austin measured the bump with one hand.
Haylee marked that width in the sand.
“Keep the gap this wide,” said Emmitt.
Lillian moved the tiny path to fit.
Through blackberry arch, the safer way bent.
Four message pieces with the friends then went.
Austin held blue. Haylee held gold.
Emmitt held round. Lillian held fold.
Only together, side by side,
