The chart held clues inside its weaves.
Lex held “drop.” Aralynn held “leaf.”
Emmitt held “path.” Lillian held “pause.”
No one held all. Pass and see.
Plip said rain on the blueberry tree.
Shh said leaf in barely moving air.
The ending arrow waited there.
“Start with drop?” “Start with path?”
Both could fit the damp small track.
Before weather-vane deck, they turned around.
Back at the trellis, clues touched ground.
Yes picture, not-yet picture, open place—
three small choices with breathing space.
The audience tapped one soft last beat.
Lillian left the open choice neat.
