Rhyme
Four came down from windmill height.
No line formed in patchwork light.
“Where?” asked Aydin. “Which way?” asked Aleea.
“What moved?” asked Haylee. Emmitt asked, “What can these make?”
First came drum. Next came leaf.
Then came pebble, round and neat.
Last came ribbon, soft and red.
Four small objects moved ahead.
At mailbox bend, the drum slid wide.
A hidden wet path showed beside.
They did not hurry toward the end.
The careful detour became their friend.
At little-library step, pieces lay:
one cloth square, three rings to put away.
Flat and separate, side by side,
they made one lantern shape—no light inside.
