Spencer heard the pulley rope.

Spencer said, “My clue is motion.”
Aydin made no sound.
He pointed where the pale seam met
the damp, untraced ground.

The planned rhythm had three parts:
rope-soft, rain-tap, seam.
But barely moving air stayed quiet.
No breeze completed them.

Aydin traced the held-drop circle.
Spencer traced the rope’s long sway.
Their joined shapes made no picture
that either took away.

Then the ordinary pulley settled:
one small wooden tick.

the background finished it.

No ribbon prize. No chalked design.
No finished thing to show.
Only two exchanged clues
and one small sound they noticed.
