The Two-Part Pinwheel Path

One tiny sprout leaned beside acorn table;
The larger route plan had to keep it stable.
Alice said, “Watch the ground.” Aralynn said, “Watch the breeze.”
Both clues could help if the jobs worked in twos.

They circled Carlisle rain porch once, calm and slow;
Then two pairs faced butterfly station below.
Aydin drew a foot-curve; Zylar brushed it away.
Breathe, check, step, sweep— four jobs shaped the day.

Aralynn held the pinwheel where pale openings shone.
Alice checked each damp mark before the next was drawn.
Aydin stepped the curve; Zylar swept behind.
The path appeared for one pair, then left no track to find.

At butterfly station, the pinwheel barely stirred.
Alice said, “Ground first.” Aralynn said, “Breeze first,” word for word.
Then Aydin pointed back toward the seedling’s place:
“One pair can shield it; one pair can test the space.”

The disagreement split into two coordinated parts:
Alice and Aralynn guarded the sprout at the start.
Aydin checked the opening; Zylar stepped the bend,
Then Zylar swept the trace from beginning to end.

They traded the roles for the route home again:
Aydin and Zylar shielded the sprout from passing feet.
Alice checked the clear curve; Aralynn stepped through;
Then Alice erased every mark the crossing drew.

Back at acorn table, the small sprout still stood.
The table looked changed by the cleared route around it.
The pinwheel’s cutouts passed through cloud-ribbon light;
Four shadows traded places, opening wide, closing tight.

No path remained, and no one ruled the plan.
One pair made room while the other pair began.
Ground-check and breeze-check moved as two equal arts—
A moving shadow picture made from coordinated parts.
