One Clover Leaf for Tomorrow
The stamp made a clover before they began;
Four leaves looked finished in one woven plan.
“Market day’s ready!” cried Aleea with cheer.
Austin said, “First see what the sprinkle changed here.”
They circled willow root gallery once at a pace,
Then two pairs crossed rain-chain corner’s damp space.
Lillian carried a tray; Zylar stamped one leaf.
The tray blocked the opening before the next pair could pass.
Austin stopped at once. No danger, no race.
“Exciting is not urgent. Let’s look at the space.”
Aleea held the stamp; the half-pattern stayed.
Because everyone paused, a new opening was made.
Leaf one—stamp. Leaf two—pass.
Pause for the opening. Then cross the grass.
The first pattern had rushed four jobs into a row;
The rebuilt one left one clear place to go.
Zylar moved the tray; Lillian checked the gate.

Then pairs swapped jobs for the route back around:

At changed clover gate, the woven stamp lay flat.
Three leaf-shapes showed; one blank leaf stayed open.
Sunlit cloud ribbons crossed the unfinished view;
The pause was the picture—the open leaf stayed new.
No need to finish because excitement said “now.”
Dew held the blank space under one clover bough.
Tomorrow may bring the fourth piece into sight;
Today’s careful pattern left room beside the light.
