Above windmill path, each chose a way down;
No group line crossed the dew-bright ground.
Callen stayed beside Bentley’s covered newborn carrier;
Aralynn met them where blackberry vines grew nearer.
The split-color stamp flashed gold on one side:
“Quick way to ribbon meadow!” the shiny mark cried.
Callen passed a question: “Which clue says go?”
Aralynn changed it: “What needs a slower look below?”
A blue card showed dew on a berry-leaf seam.
Blue dew for noticing—look before the gleam.
A gold card caught light with a bright little flare.

The stamp’s gold half marked one leaf by mistake.
“Fast lane found!” Callen joked for the sparkle’s sake.
The leaf bounced gently. Aralynn said, “That mark can start
Our quiet check instead of our quickest part.”
A plain leaf-window card came third in the row.
Blue dew for noticing, gold light for compare,
Plain window for shelter—leave living things there.
The question changed once more: “What should we not move?”
Through the plain window, one chrysalis showed,
Held to its twig where the ribbon grasses flowed.
Bentley heard one soft leaf-brush, safe in the carrier.
No hand reached toward it; the group stayed no nearer.
Callen set the shiny stamp down out of the way.
Aralynn left all three clue cards where they lay.
The living chrysalis stayed quiet on its twig;
Leaving it undisturbed was the success, small and big.
