The Blue-Tab Meeting Bridge
The floating spinner left little-library step alone,
drifting toward acorn table on one short tether.
Its three role windows waited without names;
the friends would fill them with sounds.
At frog pond rim, Brandon bent near one dry reed.
Hummm—trace a line.
Alice tapped one wooden edge with one finger.
Tok—trace a square.
Aydin clicked two smooth pebbles once.
Click—trace a dot.
Line, square, dot turned around the spinner,
three unlike materials making one invitation.
Then the small blue role tab slipped free.
It landed beside a damp patch where one tiny frog rested.
They did not hurry to pick it up.
The lost tab became the place where their three shapes met.
“Meet at blue,” said Brandon.
Alice traced the square around the resting place.
Aydin left the dot clear of the frog’s leaf.
The invitation now had a still, usable center.
They chose three sturdy objects for one shallow crossing:
one flat crate lid, one wide bark slab, one low wood block.
The bridge curved around the frog’s resting patch,
and each friend crossed at a comfortable pace.
After the crossing, Brandon lifted the crate lid.
Alice moved the bark slab; Aydin carried the low block.
The blue tab stayed as their meeting marker,
while the temporary bridge disappeared.
