Five fingers stood beside one leaf-shaped shadow.
Five: “Path,” called Austin.
All: “Shelter,” answered Callen.
One finger folded.
Four: “The shadow bends toward ribbon meadow.”
All: “The shadow bends over a resting place.”
Aleea kept both answers in the clue braid.

Three: the quilt showed two narrow shadow lines.
Austin remembered walking between them.
Callen remembered sitting beneath them.
