Child-facing question: Can three jobs happen at once, make one readable shadow, and show that a high memory and a low memory can both be true? Dominant anchor: High and low can meet and show. Cast: Brandon Rabbit holds the floating frame high and later checks the upper route; Aralynn Fox holds the slotted card low and later checks the lower route; Emmitt aligns frame and card at the single convergence point; Lillian watches the joined shadow, reads its message, and chooses the alternate low listening shelf. Brandon is barefoot by default. Lillian is premise-required. Zylar was considered as available, but the four named roles already complete the paired-memory and three-job mechanism.

The Shadow Said Both
Warm clouds held the morning close
above the Dahl seed room.
Four friends found four separate ways
down toward mailbox bend.
One floating noticing frame waited
where the damp path made its turn.
Brandon remembered looking high.
Aralynn remembered looking low.
“Mine showed the open upper way.”
“Mine showed the sheltered lower way.”
Neither memory pushed the other out;
both had noticed something true.
Three jobs began at the same time:
Brandon held the frame up high;
Aralynn turned one slotted card down low;
Emmitt brought their edges near.
Lillian watched the shadow, far then close,
open then joined on the ground.
The held frame and turning card
met once when Emmitt said, “Still.”
High and low can meet and show.
The joined shadow darkened into words:

from both remembered views.
Brandon checked the upper opening.
Aralynn checked the lower bend.
Emmitt kept the frame and card aligned.
Lillian traced the combined direction.
They followed it to Cobb orchard press,
but the path did not reach the expected stage.
It slipped beneath a broad dry branch
and ended at a low listening shelf.
The shadow had not chosen one memory.
It had made room for both.
The floating frame rested beside the new ending;
high and low had led there together.
