Child-facing question: Can two pairs move at different speeds, braid three sounds, and build a bridge that disappears after everyone uses it? Dominant anchor: Hum → tok → click; slow pair → quick pair → switch. Cast: Austin Turtle pairs with Alice Mole for the deliberately slower test; Callen Crow pairs with Aralynn Fox for the deliberately quicker test. Austin later steadies the board, Alice aligns the short tray, Callen places the bark slab, and Aralynn watches the open crossing and begins dismantling. Austin remains upright, clothed, and anthropomorphic. Alice never wears glasses. Callen remains clothed and anthropomorphic. Lillian and Zylar were considered as available, but the four named participants already form the two premise-required pairs and complete the bridge sequence.
Rhyme
The Bridge That Packed Away
From opposite sides of butterfly station,
two pairs approached in different time.
Austin and Alice moved slow and wide;
Callen and Aralynn moved quick and light.
At firefly switchback, the seed pinwheel
breathed one low seed hum.
A wooden rail answered tok.
One damp pebble answered click.
Hum—tok—click,
the slow pair crossed the pattern.
Click—tok—hum,
the quick pair crossed it back.
Four dew-bright feathers watched nearby,
one for each careful mover.
They did not choose the faster pair;
they turned when the pairs switched pace.
The first route reached too far toward rain porch.
They reversed before Carlisle rain porch.
Slow became quick; quick became slow.
Each pair found a different safe turn.
The four feathers became the final verse:
hum, tok, click—switch.
The sound braid pointed to three bridge pieces:
one flat board, one short tray, one bark slab.
Austin steadied the board.
Alice aligned the short tray.
Callen placed the bark slab last.
Aralynn checked the open crossing.
One pair crossed slowly.
One pair crossed quickly.
After both pairs reached the other side,
the bridge had finished its one job.
Aralynn lifted the bark slab.
Callen carried the short tray away.
Alice carried the flat board.
Austin checked the ground was clear.
No bridge stayed for a final pose.
The feathers rested after their verse.
Three objects returned to separate places;
the changed answer remained possible.
