“Three clues,” Haylee replied:
branch height, seedling space, and wet earth
on the lower side.
Brandon stretched one cord above it.
Spencer checked the lower edge.
The branch became their measuring tool,
marking a safer bend.
“Two edges,” counted Haylee:
upper cord and lower ground.
They turned through moonflower wall
without pressing the seedling down.
