the wheel must travel through the route.

Route Verse

Once around quilt lawn went four,
no rushing line across the ground.
At Cobb orchard press, pairs crossed:
Alice with Kaydence; Callen with Aralynn.

The wheel passed from hand to hand.
Each pair kept one side clear.
Then Callen opened both wings wide,
trying to help the picture appear.

Interruption

His helpful hold blocked Aralynn’s view.
The antiphonal line lost its answer.
No one blamed the wider gesture;
they stopped and pointed instead.

Moving Shadow Picture

Leaf became wing.
Wing became boat.
Boat became a four-point star.

The shadow moved because the edge moved.
