Spencer: Does that mean rotate the object?

Haylee: Or take the route it shows?

Aydin: Both meanings make sense.

Zylar: Test them small before anyone moves.

Miniature Test

They set exactly four miniature pieces beside the ladder.

Spencer places piece one on the rotate-the-object choice.
Aydin places piece two behind it.
Haylee places piece three on the follow-the-route choice.
Zylar places piece four with one open space beside it.

The reflected short route touches the edge of one tiny sprout.
The wider reflected turn passes clear.

Backward Narrative Verse

All: We know the ending: the sprout stays still.
Now trace the beginning that matches the hill.

The story moves backward from the protected sprout
to the four tested pieces,
to the two meanings,
to the first instruction.

Chorus Becomes Directions

The opening question does not return.

All: Look at the ground.
Measure the space.
Leave room around.
Turn at a careful pace.

The chorus is no longer asking what “turn” means.
It now tells the group how to check without controlling anyone else’s movement.

Reversal

Before clover gate, the reflected route narrows again.

Spencer holds the ladder still.
Aydin checks the visible gap.
Haylee points back toward the clear route.
Zylar opens one hand for the turn.

They reverse direction together.

Four-Part Message

At riverside sandbar, the mirror-backed ladder opens into four panels.

Spencer holds the ground panel.
Aydin holds the measure panel.
Haylee holds the room panel.
Zylar holds the turn panel.

Only while all four hold their parts in line,
the reflected picture reads:

All: Look. Measure. Leave room. Turn.

When one hand lowers, the message disappears.
No permanent sign remains.
