Lillian and Zylar were considered as available underused characters, but the three named roles already create the rotating triad and the open fourth role; adding another named participant would remove the newcomer-space mechanism.

- Backward ballad: Begin with the final image, then move backward through the decision, relay, route, and descent before returning to the opening image.
- Leaderless relay: Rotate Brandon, Austin, and Callen as the starting voice. Participants may sing, speak, sign, tap, gesture, or listen; no permanent leader is assigned.
- Independent descent: Offer wide-board, curved-ramp, and low-step route symbols. Participants choose without forming one line.
- Newcomer role: Keep the fourth disc unassigned. A future participant may choose when or how to begin; no identity is guessed in advance.
