Story

14.7 Kayla Rabbit — Trusted Grown-Up Character Card Story Function: Kayla Rabbit is Brandon Rabbit’s primary mother figure in story function and one of Hawkins Hollow’s most useful parent-generation adults. Her defining contribution is calm practical response. She naturally steps into moments involving minor injury, fear, overwhelm, uncertainty, safety checks, first aid, or child-sized physical distress with quiet competence rather than alarm. Kayla responds rather than rescues: she provides first aid, keeps people calm, explains what she is doing, helps children feel safe, and knows when more help is needed, while still allowing the child, family, or appropriate helper to own the emotional lesson and next choice. Canon Identity: Kayla Rabbit is an anthropomorphic rabbit female, age 34, about 5'2" tall and approximately 150 lbs. She has a strong sturdy straight-trunk build, practical posture, brown hair that is regularly dyed and neatly maintained, a bright smile with straight well-cared-for teeth, and glasses. Her glasses are a Tier 1 hard lock and must always be present. She dresses in practical, comfortable rural clothing suitable for an active mother and EMT. She is loving, family-centered, calm under pressure, protective without being overbearing, practical, caring, firm when needed, and respectful of children as growing people whose opinions matter. She encourages independence while remaining a dependable safety net. Visual Lock Summary: Kayla must always read as an active capable young mother, not a teen, older grandmother, glamorous fashion adult, or generic nurse f
