Story

15.2 Zylar Squirrel — Approved Cameo Character Card Story Function: Zylar Squirrel is an approved occasional friendly neighbor squirrel for simple visiting, newcomer, neighbor, inclusion, and small community-welcome moments. He is best used when a story needs one warm outside child presence who can arrive, be included, receive a welcome, offer a simple greeting, carry one safe object, or help make a neighborly moment visible without becoming a co-lead. Zylar should remain cameo-sized and simple. Do not expand him into a recurring problem-solver, emotional owner, special-knowing outsider, or family-backstory character unless the author explicitly approves it. Canon Identity: Zylar Squirrel is a medium-brown anthropomorphic squirrel child and approved occasional friendly neighbor. He has a lighter muzzle, childlike proportions, a modest friendly presence, and simple Hawkins Hollow rural neighbor energy. He should read as open, kind, lightly curious, and easy to include rather than central, dramatic, mysterious, pushy, adult-coded, fashionable, or emotionally complicated. Visual Lock Summary: Zylar is a medium-brown squirrel child with a lighter muzzle, soft squirrel face, rounded childlike body, full readable squirrel tail, red-checked shirt, khaki pants, and straw cowboy hat. His visual identity should feel rural, friendly, practical, and neighborly rather than costume-cowboy, western caricature, city-fashion, or generic woodland child. The straw cowboy hat, red-checked shirt, khaki pants, lighter muzzle, and full squirrel tail are core recognition anchors. Default Outfit: R
